My 5-year-old daughter was dragging her feet about getting into the bath, and my wife was quickly losing patience. Her voice had risen dangerously close to yelling when our little one looked up and calmly said, “Mom, I’m just trying to enjoy my last few minutes of freedom.” The room froze.
